A critically endangered black stick insect with yellow eyes and red wings, found in the wild in one tiny patch of Peru.

About the Black Beauty Walking Stick

Black beauty walking sticks are black with small bright red wings and striking yellow eyes. Females are about 2 inches long and males about 1.5 inches. In the wild they live in an area of Peru smaller than 13 acres, and they eat only pepper-tree leaves there. In zoos they eat privet, Japanese laurel and honeysuckle.[1]
