About the Yellow-Billed Stork
Yellow-billed storks stand over 3 feet tall, with wings 5 to 5.5 feet across, and weigh 2.5 to 5 pounds. They are mostly white with glossy black wing edges and tail, a bare red face and a thick yellow bill. In breeding season, pink feathers appear on the back. They live in wetlands, marshes, lakes and mudflats of sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar.[1]
